The Goodest Boy in All of Russia

The Goodest Boy in All of Russia
Saving lives one snowy paw-print at a time. The Official Russian Ministry of Emergencies Website

Who's a good dog? This one is!

Meet Akai, a Border Collie from Kaliningrad Oblast and Russia's best pooch of 2020.

We've seen our fair share of dog rescues here at Russian Life, but how about rescue dogs? He and his handler won this title at the annual Best Dogs of Russia competition put on by the Russian Ministry of Emergencies in Moscow

Akai has participated in 32 search and rescue missions during the past year alone. In one particularly challenging mission, he had helped to find and rescue a woman and child who had wandered off into the woods two days prior.

This is just another reminder that dogs deserve more recognition for all that they do for us.
