It's Nothing Serious... Right?

It's Nothing Serious... Right?
Nothing serious to see here. Presidential Executive Office of Russia

In a recent meeting with his ministers, President Vladimir Putin made some interesting statements regarding his view on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

According to Putin, the ongoing war is nothing real or serious. Instead, it is all part of his preparations for an actual armed conflict.

Later on in the meeting, Putin cast blame for the war on Western nations for having supported the "coup d'état in Ukraine in 2014." He also said he believes that the support that Ukraine is receiving from the West is not purely altruistic, that the West's true intentions are to further the fight against Russia itself.

The West has already lost the battle against Russia, Putin averred, and he said that the further the West tries to push its agenda against Russia, the harder it will be for them to come to an agreement about Ukraine in the future.
