Of Players and Puppies

Of Players and Puppies
Come for the game, stay for the dogs. Match TV

A December 3 Zenit soccer game was made infinitely better by the presence of furry friends for the footballers.

Video from the match, which pitted St. Petersburg's team against Rostov's, showed soccer players marching out onto the field carrying dogs of various sizes and shapes. The more soft sportsmen even snuck in a few dog kisses.

The Russian Premiere League team partnered with the Russian Cynological Federation for the event, called "Dogs Are Better at Home!" which promoted the adoption of shelter animals.

Given that the game ended with a 2-2 tie, the dogs were likely the highlight for the evening.

Besides, who doesn't like puppies? Even Putin is a dog-lover.
