The Russian social media site VKontakte has partnered with the Erarta Contemporary Art Museum in St. Petersburg to create a platform for amateur artists to show off their work. The exhibit «Я, обо мне, про меня» (“I, about me, concerning myself”) will consist of images collected from posts on the social media site.

In order to be selected for the exhibit, artists must compete in an online competition using the hashtag #vktalents_erarta. Artists can submit as many entries as they want, but a maximum of one per person will be selected. Artists can post images of any type of art, including digital images, sculptures, photographs, or videos, to name a few. Whatever the medium, the artwork should demonstrate the artist’s creativity. Contest organizers will select works that best reflect the artist’s perception of the world and their “inner I.”

Submissions will be accepted through July 28, with the results announced on August 18. The exhibit will run from November 25 through December 20.
