Can you give us a short description of your city?  The Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria borders Stavropolsky Kray in the North, Georgia in the South, North Ossetia in the East and Southeast, Karachay-Cherkessia in the West. Its capital is Nalchik, which was founded in 1724. Nalchik is a mountain resort town with many sanatoria, health resorts, mineral springs and parks. The population of Nalchik is 238,000 and the major ethnicitities are: Kabardinians, Balkars, Russians, and Ossetians.

What is something about your area that only locals would know? Most of the population of Kabardino-Balkaria is Sunni Muslim. There are also people who adhere to the Russian Orthodox faith and Judaism. The city has two Russian Orthodox Churches: Simeonovskaya Church and the church are rather harmless and will leave you alone.

Which places or sites are a must for someone to see if they visit your area? Mount Elbrus,
Atazhukinsky Garden, The restaurant "Sosruko", the Hippodrome.
