The Mariupol steel plant began to be stormed by Russian troops on May 3.

The plant is one of Ukraine’s last holdouts in the invasion that began February 24. 127 citizens have been evacuated to Zaporizhzhia, according to the UN. Unfortunately, hundreds of additional Ukrainian citizens remain underground in the plant, awaiting evacuation.

Deputy commander of the Azov Regiment Svyatoslav Kalyna Palamar said that boats, tanks, and armored vehicles have been used by Russian troops to storm Mariupol. Palamar also said that the regime will do all they can to fend off the troops, but that it is urgent that evacuation plans be made.
