Earlier this year, we reported on many Russian museums that are offering virtual tours of their collections. Now, you will be able to enjoy more exhibits through TikTok. Starting today, a series of virtual tours will be available on the platform, starting with the Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg and the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow.

According to TikTok’s press service, “Beginning September 12, TikTok and Kultura.RF are offering users to join new online tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays, within which they will be able to get acquainted with both the permanent expositions of classical museums and new exhibitions of contemporary art.”

The #CulturalTikTok campaign will begin with tours of the Faberge Museum in St. Petersburg on September 12, 16, 19 and 23. The Multimedia Art Museum will join the campaign on September 26, with a virtual exhibit “American Power” by contemporary American documentary photographer Mitch Epstein. On September 30, the Multimedia Art Museum’s exhibition will focus on Antoine de Galbert, a French collector, philanthropist, and the founder of the Parisian art center Maison Rouge. On October 3, the Multimedia Art Museum will feature the Russian photographer Igor Mukhin, and on October 7, the “City of Shadows” exhibit by Alexey Titarenko will be featured. A full schedule of exhibitions will be listed on a special page on “Kultura.RF’s” TikTok account.
