OLEG PONOMAREV lives in St. Petersburg and has been a freelance photographer since 2014. He has won several international photography contests and his images are displayed in The State Russian Museum and the Museum of Russian Photography. At present, he is working on long-term projects focused on his country’s social issues, as well as ethnographic projects focused on Russia’s smaller ethnic groups, particularly those in danger of disappearing. His work has been published in National Geographic Russia, Russian Reporter, Novaya Gazeta, Esquire, Bird in Flight, Neon, Dekoder, Featureshoot,Takiedela.ru, and Colta.ru.
