Nadezhda Ptushkina

NADEZHDA PTUSHKINA (born 1949) is a popular playwright, film writer and theater director. Born in Leningrad, she is a graduate of the MkhAT School for Directors and has written numerous plays and film scripts, the best-known of which include The Cow, And the End of the Chain Quivers (a play about Anton Chekhov), Bravo, Laurencia and By Foreign Candlelight. None of her works have previously been translated into English.
