Karolina Pavlova (1807 – 1893) was a nineteenth-century Russian poet and novelist whose work has been largely forgotten and who battled during her lifetime for proper recognition, due to her gender. Her poetry exhibits exceptional rhymes and imagery, was ill accepted by her contemporaries, and was rediscovered in the 1900s by symbolists.
