Jeremy Hicks

Jeremy Hicks teaches Russian culture and film at the University of London, where he serves as Chair of the Department of Russian. His research focuses on Soviet literature and film of the 1920s-1940s. In addition to his translations of Zoshchenko, Hicks is the author of First Films of the Holocaust: Soviet Cinema and the Genocide of the Jews, 1938-46 (2012) and Dziga Vertov: Defining Documentary Film (2007).
