James Falen

James Falen is emeritus professor of Russian at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His translation of Eugene Onegin is considered by many scholars and poets to be the finest interpretation of the work in English. He has also published a study of Isaac Babel, and has translated Pushkin’s dramatic works, a selection of Pushkin’s lyric poetry, Boris Pasternak’s My Sister Life, the Zhivago poems, as well as selected works by Akhmatova.
