Anna Ryseva was born in Chelyabinsk, an industrial city in the Ural Mountains. Educated as a journalist, she worked as a teacher in Chelyabinsk, a journalist for St. Petersburg television, and an organizer of international congresses in Moscow. She lives in Moscow and works for the charity Obraz Zhizni.
