Oleg

Almost all the herders here have been at this not just for years but for generations. The ancestors of Valdemar, the brigade leader, were reindeer herders going back to his great-great-grandfather. In photo is of Oleg – he's technically retired, and his son Vasily has taken his place, but Oleg still comes to help at the koral. He can't live without it.
