I was born in 1958.
I learned the price of collectivism in kindergarten.
In 1975, I finished high-school without regrets.
According to my first college diploma, I am a kultprosvetrabotnik [laborer for cultural enlightenment] of the highest rank, which still makes me shudder.
From 1980-1982, I served in the Soviet Army, where I learned how to use obscenities. I survived and was discharged, but still shudder at the phrase “sacred duty.”
Before I started to write, I read for a while.
