Vladimir (Владимир) lies 110 miles from Moscow as the crow flies, but it will take you three to four hours to travel there by train from the capital (Kursk station).

Along with the important architectural monuments mentioned in this article, be sure to visit the Kozlov Val tower for a nice view of the city, and the History Museum (ul. Tretyevo Internationala 64), which has the original coffin of Alexander Nevsky.
