For Russians, the Sexual Revolution is real:

40% rank love-making as their most favorite pastime.

Those who are sexually active say they have sex 131 times a year (vs. 138 for Americans and 141 for the French), but averaging only 12 minutes, vs. 28 minutes for Americans.

10% expect intercourse on their first date.

43% have had more than one sexual relationship at a time.

2.5 million abortions were performed in 1997.

70% of pregnancies end in abortion.

10% of abortions are performed on women under 19.

2/3 of women suffer from health consequences resulting from abortions.

15-20% of couples suffer from some form of sterility and cannot have children; in half these cases, it is due to past abortions or untreated venereal diseases.
