Anžeika Cholina, choreographer of the Vakhtangov Theatre's unforgettable Eugene Onegin and War and Peace, and creator of her own full-length Anna Karenina, returns with a visually stunning ballet reimagining Shakespeare's Othello from the perspective of Desdemona--and presented in cinematic brilliance by Art Seen Films.
Cholina’s take on Shakespeare’s tragic tale of jealousy is a percussion filled, vibrant production that delves deeply into the soul of the tragedy and its self-sacrificing yet defiant heroine. In Cholina’s production, based on fellow Lithuanian Anatolijus Šenderovas’ original composition, artists of the ballet troupe of the Kaunas Musical Theater dance multiple roles.
