ELENA PEDIGO CLARK received an MA in Russian Translation from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is currently Postdoctoral Fellow of Russian at Wake Forest University. Her research interests include translation, poetic form, and depictions of Finland in Russian literature. When not occupied with her day job, she writes Slavic-themed fiction; her debut novel, The Midnight Land, has recently been released.
