SARAH YOUNG is a lecturer in Russian at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London. She previously held posts at the University of Toronto and the University of Nottingham. She is the author of Dostoevsky's 'The Idiot' and the Ethical Foundations of Narrative, and co-editor of em>Dostoevsky on the Threshold of Other Worlds. Her current projects expand her research on Dostoyevsky into new areas: she is writing a study of Russian labor camp narratives, and developing a literary cartography project, Mapping St Petersburg (mappingpetersburg.org).
