Everything That Should Not Be Written

Everything That Should Not Be Written

"I'm a fool. I didn't just cross the line, I erased it unintentionally... I think about every child, every mother, and every family. And I also think and suffer about every child on the other side, I dream that there would be no deaths, that children would not die. Believe me, the tear of every baby is my pain, my nightmare. I don't wish death on anyone, anyone."

Anton Krasovsky, head of the Russian-language directorate of RT Russia

An employee of the popular Russian propaganda channel RT, Anton Krasovsky, has taken back his previous statements in which he called for the deaths of Ukrainian children who oppose Russia.

Krasovsky made his alarming statements in a video that detailed how he believes that Ukrainian children should be "burned" or "drowned" for not supporting the Russian invaders. Shortly after his statements aired on the Antonymy program, he was fired from his position at RT Russia.

Later, Krasovsky posted a video to his telegram channel taking back what he had said. While he did not ask for forgiveness, he did ask to be recognized as being a fool:

"I'm not asking you to forgive me, I'm asking you to understand, to understand the fool. I am guilty before my friends, comrades, and the RT team. I am guilty before all mothers who heard this text in horror. I am guilty and I will carry this guilt with me, it will be in my dreams and sorrows for the rest of my life, I am guilty. I'm not sure it can be redeemed. I always wanted to be better than the enemy. My country wanted to be better than the enemy and I'm a fool, mixed good with evil and screwed up, screwed up. I don't know if I can be forgiven. I will never forgive myself."
