Ballets Russes Arts Initiative presents a unique concert presentation by Tchaikovsky Prize-winning cellist Yosif Feigelson, exploring the creative exchange between Mstislav Rostropovich and Soviet Jewish composers.

A student of Rostropovich, Feigelson interpolates stories and images contextualizing this interesting musical legacy with his live performance. The concert includes works composed for Rostropovich by composers of Jewish heritage such as Moishe (Mieczyslaw) Weinberg and Alfred Schnittke, as well as selections by Bach and Britten.
