Marianne Ide is an international school teacher and writer. At the suggestion of an excellent friend, she began playing cello as a hobby, studying with string players in Yemen and the Republic of Georgia. She considers herself incredibly lucky to have studied music for two years with the principal cellist for the Tbilisi State Conservatory. She now lives, works, and plays in Karachi Pakistan.
